Each year, more than $500,000 in awards and scholarships are presented to Junior Achievers accross Canada.
The tradition continues as Junior Achievement of Canada is pleased to announce that our 2012 National Awards and Scholarships are now open!
Each year Junior Achievement of British Columbia (JABC) offers a number of awards and scholarships. Designed to recognize the outstanding achievements students have made throughout the school year, the Awards & Scholarship Program provides an opportunity for JABC to reward the efforts of our youth. We offer both Provincial and National opportunities. All BC students participating in JA’s Company Program, JA Titan, or Business Game programs are eligible to apply. Winners of provincial awards and scholarships are recognized at JABC events across the province.

Dr. Donald Rix "Inspiring Business Excellence" Scholarship
The Award will recognize Aboriginal or rural or immigrant students who have demonstrated significant growth in business excellence skills, improvement in learning skills, demonstrated leadership and/or entrepreneurial skills. The winning student will receive a $2,000 scholarship towards post-secondary education in the academic or trades and technology careers of their choice.
Next Generation Leaders Forum Awards
Sponsored by The Keg Spirit Foundation, the purpose of these awards is to recognize significant progress made by individual students in developing networking and communication skills. It is also desirable that individuals demonstrate a sincere interest in furthering their own work-ready skills and knowledge of business practice. Up to five (5) recipients will attend The Next Generation Leaders Forum, JA of Canada’s international student conference at Saint Mary's University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, August 12-18, 2012.
JABC Award for Excellence and Leadership
This award recognizes achievement in the development of effective personal and business management skills which could contribute to an individual’s
future career. The winner of the Leadership award will receive a recognition plaque and a bursary cheque in the amount of five hundred dollars ($500).
JA Scholarship for Entrepreneurial Studies
Sponsored by BCIT’s Venture Development Centre, recognizing entrepreneurial skills and desire to start a business. Recipient to attend BCIT’s ‘Starting Your Own Business’ evening program.

Recognizing outstanding performance in sales and marketing in Company Program- A Student Venture at both the Corporate (company) and individual levels
Award for Best Investors’/Shareholders’ Report
Recognizing excellence in reporting Student Venture company finances and operations.
