A Business of Our Own

Show students how the best way to really learn is to really do! A Business of Our Own engages elementary school students in activities to apply their knowledge and skills to a real life situation. Students become the Presidents and CEOs of their very own retail sales business. Turn Performance into Profit Lend a hand to squeeze every cent out of a great idea. A Business of Our Own helps students identify key success factors to turn personal and team performance into profit. From start to finish, students set up their retail sales stand, track profits and eventually distribute earnings. This is so much more than your conventional lemonade stand. • Develop and implement a plan for a retail business • Analyze markets to define key messages and promotional strategies • Manage the financial forecasts and records of a business • Discuss factors that affect pricing and set prices for products
