Our Business World
Create an environment where small groups manage large expectations. Our Business World gives elementary school students experience making big decisions in different areas of a small manufacturing operation. Students explore the many aspects of business, hands-on. Discover a World of Opportunity Our Business World brings the concepts of a real company into the classroom. Students put their talent to the test in the organization, management, production and marketing of their very own pen factory. By experimenting with real world business challenges, students discover the value of working smart and the career opportunities awaiting educated employees. • Work together in business planning groups to start an organization • Practice the manager’s role of job interviews • Experiment with different techniques of production • Design and evaluate effective marketing advertisements
Like other Junior Achievement programs, Our Business World is curriculum-linked, student centered and skills focused. This program consists of approximately four one-hour lessons. A qualified business volunteer can deliver the lessons in two or four visits at no cost to schools or groups.
